A Transport Assessment is a comprehensive and systematic process that sets out the transport issues relating to a proposed development.
A Transport Assessment would normally seek to demonstrate that: the proposed site access arrangements will provide safe and suitable access for all users.

the site location is suitable for the type of development proposed.

appropriate opportunities to promote sustainable transport modes can be, or have been, taken up, given the type of development and its location.
